State-funded^note because it's owned by Temasek Holdings, a Singaporean government-owned investment fund Mediacorp is one of Singapore's largest local media networks, owning the only terrestrial free-to-air network in the city-state^note which merged with the short-lived SPH Media Works network from the other half of the Singaporean mass media duopoly in 2005, mind you. That aside, it also owns a couple of local radio stations^note one of them, Oli 968, standing out of the crowd for serving Singapore's Tamil-speaking community like no other radio station based in the city-state does and the award-winning CNA Channel News Asia news network (among other things) - it even operates its own rewards program known as MeRewards that's aimed at - you guessed it - Singaporean residents.
