Matthew Richard Lucas (born 5 March 1974 in Paddington, West London) is an English actor, comedian, and writer. He got his start at the National Youth Theater, where he met his longtime collaborator David Walliams. After gaining fame on the panel show Shooting Stars, he and Walliams went on to create and star in their best-known works, the sketch series Little Britain and the mockumentary series Come Fly With Me. In addition to TV and comedy, Lucas has appeared in various theater productions on the West End, including two separate runs of Les Misérables as Monsieur Thénardier.
