Matt Gerald (born May 2, 1970 in Miami, Florida) is an American actor and screenwriter.
His largest role was the tragic Tommy Hisk on the acclaimed Shakespearian cop drama The Shield, but he gained more media attention when he was cast in James Cameron's blockbuster epic Avatar. Although many of his scenes were cut, it opened plenty of doors and he's since become a semi-regular face in film and television, often playing villains due to his imposing physique.
