Marco Ferreri (11 May 1928 – 9 May 1997) was an Italian oddball arthouse director. His films were always more than slightly off.
He was concentrated on transgressions and was not very interested in politics. That did not bring him any huge success with the Italian intelligentsia, although several of his outlandish films have gained a fairly strong cult following.
I trope sono morti
- Grossout Show: He was very fond of this trope. His films were about very squicky subjects, like a hirsute woman (La donna scimmia), or people eating till they die with some expected things happening (La Grande Bouffe).
