Madeleine Madden (born January 29, 1997) is an Aboriginal Australian actress (she also has German and Irish ancestry). She's the granddaughter of Aboriginal activist Charles Perkins. At age 13 she became the first teenager to deliver an address to the nation, about the effort to achieve equality for Aboriginal people. Her sister Miah Madden is also an actress.
Since then, she has gone on to perform in critically acclaimed TV shows like Redfern Now, Ready For This (the first teen drama in Australia focused on indigenous young people) and the Amazon Prime Original Picnic at Hanging Rock. Additionally she has also performed in a number of films, with her role for Dora and the Lost City of Gold giving her an international audience. Currently she is playing Egwene al'Vere from a second Prime Original, its adaptation of The Wheel of Time.
