Mackenyu (born 1996 as Mackenyu Maeda, occasionally credited as Mackenyu Arata) is a Japanese actor and martial artist.
The son of legendary actor Shinichi Chiba (Sonny Chiba), he spent his early years in Los Angeles before moving to Japan to pursue acting professionally. He became known following roles in Kamen Rider Drive: Surprise Future and the live action adaptations of Chihayafuru, and has since acted in both Japanese and international projects. His action credentials are on full display in Rurouni Kenshin: The Final and One Piece (2023), where he plays the villain Yukishiro Enishi and hero Roronoa Zoro, respectively.
He speaks fluent English and Japanese due to his upbringing.
