Edward Macdonald Carey (March 15, 1913 – March 21, 1994) was an American actor, known colloquially as “The King of the B’s”) for his presence in many “bottom of the bill” films, although he was also in some prestigious pictures. He was best known for Shadow of a Doubt, These Are the Damned, and Days of Our Lives, serving as announcer as well as lead actor on the latter.
Carey served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, flying with Air Warning Squadron 3. He was married for 28 years to Elizabeth Crosby Heckscher, and the couple had three children. He died of lung cancer at the age of 81.
