Kia Asamiya (real name: Michitaka Kikuchi) is a Japanese animator-turned Mangaka. Most notably, he was on the animation staff for Inspector Gadget and he also did the character designs for Sonic Soldier Borgman
As a mangaka, his most well-known series include Silent Möbius, Steam Detectives, Compiler, and Corrector Yui. He also drew the manga adaptation of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Batman Child Of Dreams.
He has also crossed over to the American market, having drawn a number of covers for Marvel and DC and done some interior art on titles such as X-Men and Comic Book/Titans
