Kelly's go-to character, the Executioner.

"Draw from life experience; never make it commercial. You'll never let anyone tell you how to draw when it's from the heart."
—Kelly’s personal motto

Kelly “Campy” Campanile (b. 1991) is a visual artist based out of Philadelphia, PA. She is likely known best for her work under PORK Magazine, where the majority of her public art is recognized. Kelly also freelances in her spare time.

Kelly has been invested in the art industry from an early age. From the age of 10, she began developing her skill with small projects, though it wasn't until c. 2013 she began practising visual art as an occupation.

Several of her mediums include pen-and-ink, watercolor, graffiti, and acrylics. Her standard art style might best be described as audacious, nostalgic and darkly-humorous. Some of best influences include: Tex Avery, Ed Roth, Shawn Dickinson and Al Columbia.

Tropes relating to this artist and her works:

  • Black Comedy: Another common theme. Her characters are often portrayed dying horrible deaths and laughing themselves about it.
  • Creator Thumbprint: The anarchy symbol and I-shaped handled blades are her most notable personal artist trait.
  • Funny Animals: The majority of her characters are these, styled after Golden Age animation-era cartoons.
    • Civilized Animal: Though some occasionally come out more realistic, such as the Vagabond Wold and Wanderer King crow.
  • Gallows Humor: Taken literally with her character the Executioner, who offers to send his next victim, who has been “settled in life”, off with a persuasive offer.
  • Mood Dissonance: Most of her works contain grim and dark themes. However, her characters most often act like their Crapsack World is one huge frat party.
  • Refuge in Audacity: Kelly is known for her frequent depictions of Nazi swastikas, suicide, drug-overdoses, and stabbings: all of which she proudly asserts under her rights.
  • Self-Harm: One character of hers impales himself with a long daggar while proclaiming he hasn't felt so good in a long time.
