Julia Margaret Deakin, (20 May 1952), is a British actress best known for playing May Skinner in Oh, Doctor Beeching! and Marsha Klein in Spaced.

After a period of training to be a drama teacher, she attended Mountview Theatre School. Her first on-screen role was in the 1979 Made-for-TV Movie Follow the Star playing both an angel and a villager. The '80s were full of small roles for Deakin, but her luck began to change in The '90s.

The decade began with her playing Carole (with an "e") Dawlish in So Haunt Me and following this she played Mrs. Sowerberry in the 1994 West End revival of Oliver!, railway station buffet manager May Skinner in Oh, Doctor Beeching! (taking over from Sherrie Hewson after the Pilot), and divorced landlady Marsha Klein in Spaced.

After working with Simon Pegg in Spaced, she was cast in all the films in the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, playing Yvonne's mum in Shaun of the Dead, Mary Porter in Hot Fuzz, and a landlady in The World's End. She also played Daphne Andrews in the first two series of House of Anubis and Carole Copeland in Holby City from Series 17 to 23.
