Josephine Hutchinson (October 12, 1903 – June 4, 1998) was an American actress.
She is know for films such as Son of Frankenstein and North By Northwest, as well as numerous television appearances as guest star in various series including The Twilight Zone.
She was married to Robert W. Bell, James F. Townsend, and Staats Cotsworth. In adition, she also had a same-sex relationship with stage actress Eva Le Gallienne from 1926 to 1934. The relationship was reported on the press at the time, which referred to Hutchinson as Le Gallienne's "shadow", a code word for a lesbian at the time.
