Jonathan Adams, born John Adams, (14 February 1931 — 13 June 2005), was a British actor best known for playing Dr. Scott in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

He studied at Northampton Art College and the Chelsea College of Art, where he earned a name for himself with his surrealist cartoons and collages.

In 1959, he started acting and working as an artist at the same time. He was cast in the original London production of The Rocky Horror Show as the Narrator. When Rocky Horror was adapted into a film, Adams was cast not as the Narrator's film equivalant (the Criminologist), but as the wheelchair-bound scientist, Dr. Everett Von Scott.note

The rest of The '70s saw Adams appearing in comedy films including Eskimo Nell, Three for All, Adventures of a Private Eye, and Adventures of a Plumber's Mate. He also appeared in the first three series of Bergerac as Dr. LeJeune and in Star Cops as Alexander Krivenko. In 1993, he appeared in the Public Information Film Never Rest as the ghost of Joshua Walker, who haunts a farm in an attempt to save a pair of children from fatal accidents.

He died of a stroke at the age of 74.

Not to be mistaken for the American actor of the same name, Jonathan Adams.
