Jimmy Nail, born James Michael Aloysius Bradford, (16 March 1954), is a British actor best known for playing Oz in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
Despite having no acting experience, he was convinced to audition for a TV show. After auditioning for an extra in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Nail was cast in the lead role of Oz, a role he would play in all 40 episodes from 1983 to 2004. His sister, Val McLane, appeared alongside him in Series 2 as Norma.
In the early '90s, he starred in Spender as the titular Freddie Spender, and in both Crocodile Shoes and Crocodile Shoes II as Jed Shepperd. It was around this time that Nail also had a number of pop hits, such as "Ain't No Doubt". In 1996, he had a lead singing role in Evita as Agustín Magaldi.
