Jessie Buckley is an Irish actress born on December 28, 1989 in Killarney, Ireland.
Having performed in music and theatre since childhood, she got her start on the British talent show I'd Do Anything and eventually finished in second place.
She turned to acting after this, largely doing theatre in Britain before being cast as Marya Bolkonskaya in War And Peace. Following this, she led the film Beast and had strong supporting roles in Judy and Chernobyl, but it was her critically-acclaimed turn as a temperamental wannabe country singer in Wild Rose that solidified her as a star on the rise. She also appeared in the fourth season of Fargo, and was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in The Lost Daughter. She later won an Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role as "Sally Bowles" in the London revival of Cabaret.
