- Dawson Casting: Averted in Donnie Darko where she was seventeen, the same age as Gretchen. But in Pride & Prejudice (2005) she was twenty playing Lydia at fifteen. Sucker Punch is borderline, as Rocket's age isn't stated but she's implied to be a teenager.
- Deleted Role: She had a role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but all her scenes were cut from the theatrical release. They were restored in the extended version.
- Fake Brit: Plays Lydia in Joe Wright's version of Pride & Prejudice (2005).
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Her characters are often this.
- Older Than They Look: She's in her thirties but still looks quite young.
- Production Posse: She's worked with Joe Wright, Zack Snyder and Nicholas Winding Refn on multiple occasions.
- She Also Did: Studied photography and co-produced American Girl. She's also expressed an interest in directing.
- Typecasting: Usually portrays teenage girls in problems or from dysfunctional families.
- What Could Have Been: A few instances.
- Turned down auditioning for Air Force One.
- Was originally set to play Emily in Havoc, but was replaced by Bijou Phillips.
