Jemima Rebecca "Jemma" Redgrave (b. 14 January 1965) is an award-winning English actress of stage and screen and a member of the famous Redgrave acting dynasty.
The daughter of actor Corin Redgrave and his first wife Deirdre Hamilton-Hill, she enrolled at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art at age 18 and after graduation almost immediately broke out on the stage, landing a number of high-profile roles at legendary venues like the Almeida Theatre and Noel Coward Theatre. She has continued to perform regularly in the theatre ever since.
Her breakout performance was as Evie Wilcox in the BAFTA-winning, Oscar-nominated film Howards End, but she is best known on screen for her performances as Kate Stewart, daughter of the legendary Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, in the revival of Doctor Who, and as Major Berenice "Bernie" Wolfe, an ex-Army trauma surgeon, on the long-running medical drama Holby City.
Michael Redgrave is her grandfather, Lynn Redgrave and Vanessa Redgrave are her aunts, and Natasha Richardson and Joely Richardson are her cousins.
