Jay Johnston (born October 22, 1968) is an American comedian and actor.
Johnston was a writer and cast member on Mr. Show, and a writer and voice artist on Moral Orel. You've probably also seen him usually being cast as a police officer in:
- The Sarah Silverman Program
- Arrested Development
- Community
- Reno 911! (a DEA agent this time)
He also had a recurring role as Jimmy Pesto Sr., the titular character's Sitcom Arch-Nemesis in Bob's Burgers; One of Jimmy's twin sons was voiced by former collaborator Sarah Silverman, with the other voiced by her sister, Laura. However, the show's creators fired him upon learning of his involvement in the Capitol riot of January 6, 2021, for which he was later arrested by the FBI in June 2023. He has since been released.
