James Warren, better known by various permutations of James At War (James@War, Jaw, J@w), is an online spoof artist operating mainly through YouTube.

Like many of his contemporaries, James spoofs popular songs of the day while also writing his own original songs. He is currently working on his first album.

He once challenged "Weird Al" Yankovic to a spoof-off but Weird Al did not respond, at least not publicly and no spoof-off has ever been announced.

This artist features examples of:
  • Affectionate Parody: Most of his works. His go a little farther than Weird Al's but are still for the most part family friendly. He wants to make something his kids can watch after all.
  • Fan Disservice: "Huge Dork" and "When You're Here"
  • Homage: "Haven't Killed You Yet" is one to Dexter
    • The second "Popstar" video is an homage to the "Rockstar" music video.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Hot For Words in "Bad Grammar"
  • My God, What Have I Done?: One interpretation of his learning two Halo games (Halo Wars and ODST) were released while he was playing World of Warcraft.
    • His reaction to the aftermath of the challenge to Weird Al.
  • Recycled Premise: "Harry Potter" is basically "Hey Harry Potter" but about the movies instead
  • Self-Deprecation: "Huge Dork"
  • Shout-Out: "Huge Dork" is a lost list of them. Other examples include "Hey Harry Potter", "Halo 3" and "New Moon"
  • Take That!: "Popstar" and "Celebrity" are this at Hollywood
  • Throwing Down the Gauntlet: James publicly challenged Weird Al to a spoof-off but after his fans reacted by spamming Weird Al's MySpace, he retracted the challenge in embarrassment.
