Illeana Douglas (born Illeana Hesselberg; July 25, 1965 in Quincy, Massachusetts) is an American actor.
The granddaughter of Melvyn Douglas, she is best known for her roles in independent films (including To Die For, Grace of My Heart, Sir of Echoes, and Ghost World), although she has also appeared in some more mainstream features (like Goodfellas and The Remake of Cape Fear). In addition, she's worked extensively in television, most notably as Wendy Ward on Action, and has served as a guest host and programmer for Turner Classic Movies.
Douglas was in a relationship with director Martin Scorsese from 1989 to 1997, and was married to producer-writer Jonathan Axelrod from 1998 to 2001.
