Hazel Court (10 February 1926 – 15 April 2008) was a British actress. The daughter of a professional cricketer, she trained at the Company of Youth, an acting school associated with The Rank Organisation. While appearing in dramas and the occasional comedy, Court became especially associated with Hammer Horror, appearing in The Curse of Frankenstein with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee and later The Man Who Could Cheat Death. She continued in a similar vein across the Atlantic, joining in Roger Corman’s Edgar Allan Poe series starting with The Premature Burial.
Court largely retired from acting around the time she turned 50. She died of heart failure in 2008. She married twice—to actor Dermot Walsh and actor/director Don Taylor—and had three children overall.
