Gordon Roger Alexander Buchanan Parks (November 30, 1912 - March 7, 2006) was an American photographer, composer, author, poet, and director best known for The Learning Tree (1969).
He was married to Sally Alvis, Elizabeth Campbell, and Genevieve Young and had four children, Gordon Parks Jr, David Parks, Leslie Parks, and Toni Parks-Parsons.
Parks died in 2006 at the age of 93 from cancer.
