Fredrick 'Fred' Lawrence Grandy (June 29, 1948) is an American actor, writer, politician, and radio personality best known for The Love Boat (1977-1986), Death Race 2000 (1975), and Charlie's Angels (1979).
Outside of acting, he served in Congress from 1987-1995 as a Republican representative from Iowa.
He was married to Jan Gough, currently married to Catherine Mann and has three children. His oldest son, Charlie Grandy, is a TV comedy writer who's worked on Saturday Night Live, The Office (US), The Mindy Project and Velma.
