Franchise Pictures LLC was an independent motion picture company founded by Elie Samaha, Ashok Amritraj, and Andrew Stevens in 1997. The company is known for rescuing actor's pet projects and producing action films that are mainly aimed at teens and adults.

Starting in 1998, it created distribution deals with Warner Bros. and Morgan Creek and later made a deal with Intertainment to sell & release their titles in Europe and other territories.

Following the release and box office failure of Battlefield Earth, the company came under fire due to the inflation of budgets of films like Battlefield, which led to Intertainment suing them and Morgan Creek parting ways with them a year later. This later led to Franchise being forced to file for bankruptcy and close its doors in 2007.

Half of the Franchise Pictures library is owned by Think Film and the other half by Revolution Studios (via Morgan Creek)
