Creator / Elle McNicoll

Elle McNicoll (born 5 October 1992) is a Scottish author of children's books. She is autistic and dyspraxic and her books all star neurodivergent protagonists.

Her debut novel, A Kind of Spark (2020), was adapted into a CBBC series in 2023. McNicoll wrote or co-wrote four of the ten episodes, and at her insistence all the autistic characters in the show were played by autistic actors.
