This creator and her works contain examples of:

  • "Three Days in Undead Shoes"
    • Action Survivor: Jane Naturally.
    • Asshole Victim: Schrodinger's Owner decides not to sell the dog to his trainer, Jane, as she arrives to conclude the deal. He dies to the zombie plague off screen and is found by Jane. Schroddie is sad. The Audience is not.
    • Evil-Detecting Dog: Schrodinger warns Jane away from the car park holding her car in the early chapters and fits the bill through the remainder of the stories as well.
    • Ghost City: The University of British Columbia campus is this. Vancouver starts like this at the beginning of the book. It doesn't stay like this.
    • No FEMA Response: Lampshaded and discussed. The lack of emergency response is noted as creepy by Jane when she first realizes something is wrong.
    • Not Using the "Z" Word: Averted: Jane speculates to herself regarding whether these will be slow zombies or fast zombies and references World War Z and 28 Days Later directly.
    • Our Zombies Are Different: The bulk of the zombies repeat actions they did in life.
    • Undead Child: The first zombie Jane sees is a child on a swing. A crow eats their eye.
    • Zombie Apocalypse: Obviously, although Jane first mistakes the event for a live shooter or terrorist attack.
