David Lawrence Angell (April 10, 1946 – September 11, 2001) was an American screenwriter and producer best known for creating Wings and Frasier.

Tragically, he and his wife, Lynn Edwards, died when their plane, American Airlines Flight 11, crashed into the World Trade Center during the September 11 attacks. In the series finale of Frasier Niles and Daphne's newborn son is named David as a tribute to Angell. The film World Trade Center (about the attacks on the WTC) was produced by Paramount, which also produced Wings, Frasier, and Frasier parent series Cheers.
