Jack Westelman (April 7, 1941 – November 28, 2013), better known by his stage name Danny Wells, was a Canadian actor.
With an acting career spanning four decades, Danny Wells has been in everything from commercials and movies to sitcoms and dramas to cartoons and video games in both American and Canadian entertainment. He is most well remembered however for playing Charlie the Bartender on CBS' famous long-running African-American sitcom The Jeffersons and for portraying Nintendo's iconic green-shirted plumber Luigi in DiC Entertainment's animation/live-action hybrid series The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! alongside Captain Lou Albano as Mario himself.
He passed away on November 28, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 72 from cancer.
