Daniel W. "Danny" Strong (born June 6, 1974 in Manhattan Beach, California) is an American actor and writer in film and television. He initially gained some recognition for his roles as Jonathan Levinson in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Doyle McMaster in Gilmore Girls. He's since gone on to find further success behind the scenes (although he still acts) with his critically acclaimed scripts for Game Change, The Butler and the two-part finale of The Hunger Games Trilogy.
Strong is currently a co-creator and writer for the Fox series Empire. He's won 3 Emmy Awards, 2 Writers Guild of America Awards, a Producers Guild of America Award and a Golden Globe Award.
