Founded in 1986 by ex-Disney animator Richard Rich (director of both The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron), Crest Animation Productions (formerly Rich Entertainment, Rich Animation Studio, and later, RichCrest Animation Studio) was an Indian-American animation studio that specialized in both 2D and 3D animation.
The company's Mumbai offices shut down in 2013 due to financial turmoil. The studio in Burbank remained open and changed its name to StreetLight Animation by the end of 2014 as there was no longer any affiliation.
