Christine Ann Lahti (born April 4, 1950 in Birmingham, Michigan) is an American actress and director, best known for her appearances in the films Swing Shift, Running on Empty, and The Fear Inside and for her Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning role as Dr. Kathryn Austin on Chicago Hope.
She is married to director Thomas Schlamme and they have three children.
