Cherien Dabis (born November 27, 1976) is an American filmmaker and actress. She is primarily known for her feature directorial debut, Amreeka, as well as for her direction on several American television shows such as Only Murders in the Building (which garnered her an Emmy nomination) and Ramy.
Dabis is of Arab descent (her father is Palestinian, her mother Jordanian-born Lebanese) and has stated that she consciously highlights the different cultures in America and the Middle East in her filmography.
