Carole Ashby, (24 March 1955), is a British actress best known for playing Louise in 'Allo 'Allo!.
After attending boarding school, she wanted to be an actress. Her parents refused, so she ended up doing a modelling course and established herself as a successful model.
Early in her life, Ashby was voted "Britain's Most Glamorous Schoolgirl". Her first big break was when she became the resident hostess during Sale of the Century's UK run in 1983.
After an Uncredited Role in Chariots of Fire, Ashby appeared in two James Bond films (Octopussy and A View to a Kill) earning her Bond Girl status. The same year as A View to a Kill, she appeared in the series Gems, playing Rachel in six episodes.
In 1988, Ashby was cast in nine episodes of Series 5 of 'Allo 'Allo! as Louise, the sidekick to Communist Resistance leader Denise Laroque. Louise would be a recurring character for the rest of the series' run, making at least one appearance in each series. She was also briefly engaged to series co-creator Jeremy Lloyd.
Her final acting role came in the 1998 drama film, Cash in Hand.
