Sir Carol Reed (December 30, 1906-April 25, 1976) was an English director best known for Odd Man Out, The Fallen Idol, and The Third Man.
He was married to actress Diana Wynyard and actress Penelope Dudley Ward, and had one child with Dudley-Ward. Oliver Reed was his nephew.
Reed died in 1976 at the age of 69 from a heart attack.
