Tropes associated with her works:
- Big Ol' Eyebrows: Are they ever! Her cameo in Grand Theft Auto V even has her describe herself as "The Girl With the Eyebrows."
- The Cameo: She provided her vocals in the chorus of her former partner St. Vincent's song "Pills".
- Captain Ersatz: She invokes mannerisms of now-retired British Youtube celebrity RandyTaylor69 in Grand Theft Auto V.
- Dyeing for Your Art: Shaved her head for Life in a Year, as did her co-star Jaden Smith, in order to play cancer patients.
- Large Ham: Her turn as the Enchantress in Suicide Squad led to some bombastic dialogue and movements.
- Manic Pixie Dream Girl: She has played these, and deconstructions of these, several times, e.g. Paper Towns and Life In A Year.
- Ms. Fanservice: As a former Victoria's Secret Model, she frequently plays characters who wear skimpy outfits. She has also posed nude for Marie Claire magazine and shows nudity in Carnival Row. Averted at times with her choices◊ of outfits.
