Buck Henry (born Henry Zuckerman; December 9, 1930 – January 8, 2020) was an American actor, director, and writer from New York City. He was known for his multiple appearances on Saturday Night Live in that show's early years. He was also nominated twice for an Academy Award — for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Graduate (1967) and for Best Director—shared with Warren Beatty—for Heaven Can Wait (1978).
