Barbara New, born Barbara Helene Barrington, (9 May 1923 — 24 May 2010), was a British actress best known for playing Mabel Wheeler in You Rang, M'Lord?.
Her acting career saw her mainly working om British TV in guest roles in series such as Z Cars, The Two Ronnies, Ripping Yarns and Hi-de-Hi!.
Following her appearance in Hi-de-Hi!, she joined some of the main cast in two later David Croft sitcoms - You Rang M'Lord? and Oh, Doctor Beeching!. Her final acting role was in the 2002 film Ali G Indahouse.
She died at the age of 87.
