Andrzej Żuławski (2 November 1940 – 17 February 2016) was a Polish director with a passion for the outlandish and esoteric. He was one of the more oddball directors in the arthouse ring and can be somewhat likened to Ken Russell. He was a grandnephew of Polish sci-fi writer Jerzy Żuławski whose "Lunar Trilogy" would be partially adapted as On the Silver Globe.
