Alexander James Jeffery Horne (born 10 September 1978) is a British comedian, radio presenter, TV producer, band leader, and podcaster.
Horne's best-known work is Taskmaster, where panels of comedians perform odd, but challenging tasks to see who will come out on top. Although he is the show's creator and responsible for creating the bulk of the tasks, he takes on the on-screen role of Assistant and Butt-Monkey to the the actual Taskmaster, Greg Davies.note The success of this programme in the UK has spawned a global franchise.
He also leads The Horne Section, a comedy band regularly featured in clubs and festivals as well as on TV and radio. The Horne Section eventually got their own TV show, appropriately titled The Horne Section TV Show.
Has started No More Jockeys, a YouTube game show with friends, and fellow comedians, Mark Watson and Tim Key.
