Crazy Jealous Guys in Western Animation.

  • Adventure Time:
    • Finn becomes this when Jake makes Tiffany his best friend (by the way, he's a boy). Tiffany is also this towards Jake, attempting to kill Finn because he's jealous of his friendship with Jake. Though by "Preboot" he seems to have gotten over wanting to murder him.
    • Jake accuses Finn of this during the first Ricardio episode.
  • The title character of The Amazing World of Gumball toward Penny: He falls out with Darwin because one of his own dreams had Penny and Darwin kissing, gets Penny sent to the hospital because he made her eat a blueberry cupcake instead of an orange one (they were supposed to represent him and Darwin, but she's allergic to blueberry), then made things worse by making her eat blue thumbtacks instead of orange allergy pills, and even tried to kill Leslie when he thought Penny was going out with him. (They're actually cousins.)
  • Zuko in the Avatar: The Last Airbender episode "The Beach." He shoves a guy across a room just for talking to his girlfriend Mai.
  • In the Animated Adaptation of Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice becomes this - whenever somebody shows signs of occupying Lydia's time more than him, he instantly gets possessive of her. This includes his own clone.
  • Rare heroic example in the form of Hades from Class of the Titans. In the episode Cronus Vanquished, the evil Cronus holds Hades and his wife Persephone captive. When Persephone considers marrying Cronus, Hades breaks out of his captivity, runs up to Cronus' throne, and strangles him. Truth be told, Persephone was simply pretending to be interested in Cronus, and wanted this reaction out of Hades.
  • In Code Lyoko, Ulrich can get very jealous over Yumi, especially when William is involved.
  • Codename: Kids Next Door:
    • Numbuh 4 gets crazy jealous whenever another boy shows interest in Numbuh 3.
    • King Sandy is more extreme, as he fights Numbuh 4 over Numbuh 3 in an attempt to force her to become his queen (though he later comes to love Numbuh 3's younger sister).
  • Danny Phantom has numerous examples:
    • Danny to Paulina (at least at first; he eventually got wise and forgot about her).
    • Danny was not happy when Sam showed interest in the foreign exchange student Gregor. He went from scowling to using his ghost powers to spy on their date. Played completely sympathetically though, since he's Oblivious to Love.
    • Vlad has been madly in love with Maddie Fenton since college and he hates her husband Jack, as Jack has everything he wishes for himself.
    • Maddie hints that Jack may be like this, although it's never seen in the show.
  • Cosmo from The Fairly OddParents! would often get mad whenever he saw another man show affection towards his wife Wanda, particularly Wanda's ex-boyfriend Juandissimo as well as Quddus in the TRL interview.
  • Family Guy:
    • Peter Griffin is violently jealous of any perceived flirting between Lois and anything male. In one montage of flashbacks, he beats up a movie screen with Hugh Grant on it, a dolphin, and even his own reflection in the mirror.
Lois: (looking at Peter's reflection) Oh my, look at that handsome man.
Peter: You son of a bitch! (punches mirror)
    • Also, Stewie has shown to act in such a way towards whomever is the newest object of his affections, male or female. Like in the episode "Stewie Loves Lois" when Stewie jealously tells Brian to stop hitting on Lois after he becomes adoring of her.
    • In the episode "Peter's Got Woods", James Woods and Peter become good friends after Brian gets a girlfriend and they start spending a lot of time together. However, this causes James to become very obsessed with Peter to the point of acting jealous of Brian.
    • Jeff from "Screams of Silence". How else can you describe a guy who got upset when his girlfriend hugged her brother?
    • The Black Knight who saved Peter's life when he was a teenager, surprisingly. When his girlfriend attempted to flirt with Peter, he told Peter to get lost and threatened to kill him when comes back. Peter did not take that well.
  • Bender in Futurama, sometimes to love interests (such as Angelyne in "Bendless Love") but frequently to his best friend Fry. It provides a lot of impetus for the plot of the film The Beast With a Billion Backs.
Bender: Because Bender knows love. And love doesn't share itself with the world. Love is suspicious, love is needy, love is fearful, love is greedy. My friends, there is no great love without great jealousy!
  • In Gravity Falls, Li'l Gideon seemed to feel that if he can't have Mabel, nobody can.
  • Hey Arnold!:
    • One of Dino Spumoni's songs was called "You Better Not Touch My Gal", which starts with the lyrics "You better not touch my gal, / or I'll pop you in the kisser, pal!" and ends with the line "... you'll never eat solid food again!"
    • Arnold has shades of this towards Ruth and later Lila.
    • Arnie goes stark raving mad when he thinks Arnold was trying to steal his girl Lulu at the end of Arnold's dream in "Arnold Visits Arnie".
  • Rio from Jem is easily jealous and quick to temper when it comes to both his girlfriend Jerrica and his crush Jem. Luckily, they are the same person; unluckily, he doesn't know that. There's even a song called "Jealousy" about Rio being peeved at Jem being around another man. Rio outright punched the guy in the face for kissing Jem while filming a movie. Rio isn't even dating Jem, he's Jerrica's boyfriend, which effectively makes him a cheater.
  • Kaeloo: If Mr. Cat thinks you're "stealing" Kaeloo from him (even though they aren't even dating), beware. Because he's a psychopath who tortures people for fun and owns a bunch of dangerous weapons. For example, in "Let'Play Danger Island Survivor", when Kaeloo says that Quack Quack is her "best friend", Mr. Cat responds by first driving a wedge between the two of them, then making Quack Quack suffer the pain of falling into a precipice filled with starving alligators. In another episode, the gang is playing a game. When Stumpy is picked to be the prince and Kaeloo is Sleeping Beauty, Mr. Cat shoots Stumpy with a bazooka to stop him from getting to Kaeloo and kissing her, even though it's just a game.
  • The Miraculous Ladybug character Chat Noir lies to potential rivals that he's in a relationship with Ladybug... who has repeatedly and explicitly told him that they're Just Friends. In contrast with Marinette, Chat Noir's jealousy is less openly antagonistic... but he's also less willing to listen to his kwami when Plagg tells him what he's doing is wrong.
    • Throughout Season 4, this escalates as he grows increasingly jealous of the other Miraculous Heroes — especially after realizing that Ladybug trusted one as her Secret-Keeper, which leads to him nearly Cataclysming the hero in question when they have to sub in as a temporary Ladybug. He then skips several battles in "Kuro Neko", temporarily quitting the team outright when Ladybug alludes to all of the heroes being just as important as the two of them. Plagg supports him on this, giving Marinette an angry speech using cheese as a metaphor where he implicitly compares calling on other heroes to cheating on Chat Noir. Hawk Moth stealing the Miracle Box at the climax of that season gives him exactly what he wanted, as he and Ladybug are the only two heroes to have their Miraculouses afterwards.
  • A lighthearted example of this trope appears in the pilot of Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, where Spiderus makes it clear that he is still pining for Miss Spider even after she marries Holly and makes it clear that she is not interested in Spiderus at all. He repeatedly tries to convince Miss Spider that she made a poor choice in marriage, and even tries kill Holly. Luckily, he gets over it after he meets another female spider.
  • My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: Discord is very possessive around Fluttershy, and becomes upset when she starts hanging out with her new friend, Tree Hugger. He gets even more upset when she invites Tree Hugger to the Gala instead of Discord. The whole episode just has him seething in jealousy and getting more infuriated with Fluttershy's new friend.
  • Oh Yeah! Cartoons: The short "Blotto" has the titular character shown to get furious when the Balloon Goon lures away his girlfriend Dotto.
  • The Owl House: King is a non-romantic example towards Luz, as his attempts to monopolize all her time are more akin to that of a little brother than a boy with a crush. This ends up causing the bulk of the main plot of "Really Small Problems", and he's shown getting angry when Luz hugs her girlfriend before him upon their return from the Knee at the end of "Eclipse Lake".
King: I'm never letting you go! You're never returning to the human realm!
    Luz: He doesn't mean that...
    King: Yes I do!
  • Robotomy: "Frenemy": The AI of the Frenemy website quickly becomes obsessed with its friendship with Thrasher and Blastus in a manner coded after an unhealthy romantic relationship, takes to stalking them obsessively, and becomes violently towards others towards whom the two show interest.
  • Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!: In the episode "The Stranded Seven", Nova gets a crush on one of the local Cat Folk, and Sprx is visibly jealous. When he complains about it, Nova assures him all he needs to do is ask for her attention if he wants it.
  • Teen Titans (2003): Robin gets pissed off when Starfire is almost forced into an Arranged Marriage to a Blob Monster by her sister Blackfire. He's right to be against it because Starfire obviously doesn't want this, but Cyborg can tell he's jealous.
  • The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) version of Donnie acts jealous towards April when he sees her interacting with Casey.
  • Larry from Time Squad becomes insanely jealous when he starts suspecting that Tuddrussel and Sheila (Tuddrussel's ex-wife) are developing feelings for each other again. That entire episode, "Ex Marks The Spot", is dedicated to Larry desperately trying to sabotage their alleged relationship.
  • Total Drama: Deconstructed in the second season with Trent. After he and Gwen became the captains of different teams, he started to worry about Duncan due to Gwen spending more time with him than before, out of fear that their relationship is falling apart and she might like Duncan instead. He developed an obsessionwith the number 9 which he never showed signs of before (and despite what Gwen and Duncan thought, it's not because you get 9 letters if you combine the letters from Trent and Gwen's names) and started to lose challenges intentionally in order to impress Gwen, but his weird behaviour made her eventually dump him and due to being accused by the Killer Grips of being the one who told Trent to lose on purpose, he convinced them that that's not the case by telling them to eliminate him. Trent is devastated when he finds out the truth.
  • Lance from Voltron: Legendary Defender gets very jealous when a guy shows attraction to Allura or is even alone with her for an extended period of time, including Keith, Matt, and Lotor.
