My Little Pony Camp Bighoof is a five-part IDW mini-series written by Stephanie Cookie and drawn by Kate Sherron. It is the first spinoff of the My Little Pony (2022) comic. It was released on July 26, 2023.

Sunny Starscout and her friends have taken over an abandoned campsite to use as a summer camp to teach young fillies and colts to control their magic better. Camp Bighoof is named after a giant mysterious creature who is said to wander the woods at night. However, trouble begins to occur when the campers' magic goes out of control and causes a rockslide in the entrance, blocking the only way out. Even worse, a roar in the distance scares everypony badly. Hitch, Izzy, and Pipp agree to work together to keep the camp going while trying to find a way to clear the rockslide so everypony can go home. Meanwhile, Sunny and Zipp work together to track down what is causing the noise and find the mysterious Bighoof.

Tropes in Camp Bighoof include:

  • Destroy the Evidence: By using trail cameras and motion detectors, Sunny and Zipp eventually get a clear picture of Bighoof. Instead of going public with their discovery, they tear up the picture in order to keep Bighoof (and her child and mate) from being chased all over the woods and studied by scientists.
  • It Was Here, I Swear!: At the end of Issue Two, Sunny and Zipp enter the mess hall to get something to eat only to see Bighoof eating a pile of cheese puffs. Their friends and the campers arrive as Sunny and Zipp tell them what they saw but when they turn around, Bighoof is gone.
  • Lawyer-Friendly Cameo: A variant cover for Issue Two has a ponified Sonic the Hedgehog roasting a marshmallow. Even though his face is hidden from view, its meant to be him due to his dark blue fur, his spikey mane resembling Sonic's quills, and his ring cutie mark.
  • Oh, Crap!: The end of Issue One has the campers accidentally create a rockslide with their magic and the rocks are blocking the only way out of the camp.
  • Shout-Out: Two of the covers for Issue Five.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Hitch calls out both Sunny and Zipp for focusing all their attention on finding Bighoof and neglecting the campers pointing out it isn't fair to him and the rest of their friends to pick up the slack for them. He even reminds Sunny that the whole idea for the camp was her idea. He quickly changes his mind after seeing Bighoof himself and allows them to continue their search.
