Captain Victory is a Superhero from The Golden Age of Comic Books, published by Ace Publications in Our Flag Comics #1.

Jack Wilson is an ambassador's aide, whose boss is currently demonstrating America's airplane fleets to the South American nation of Centralvo in the hopes of making them allies. Unfortunately, the diabolical Nazi Count Ratzig has had his men set off bombs as a goodwill fleet fly over Centralvia in an effort to ruin the meetings. Luckily, Wilson has Super-Strength and agility. Donning his disguise as Captain Victory, Wilson sets out to stop the fascist menace.

Not to be mistaken for Jack Kirby's Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers.

This comic contains examples of:

  • Big Bad: Count Ratzig, a Nazi agent trying to make a South American nation join the Axis.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: As a Nazi spy, Count Ratzig answers to Adolf Hitler.
  • False Flag Operation: Ratzig has his men bomb a Centralvian city and frame the Americans so they'll join the Axis. They do similar with a naval fleet later.
  • Hostage Situation: The baddies force a captain to help them commandeer a couple American ships on threat of slaughtering his crew.
  • Mighty Whitey and Mellow Yellow: Villainous example. There are Japanese agents helping the Germans, but the latter are clearly the heads of the operation, and Japanese agent Mr. Toto basically only exists to twirl his mustache with Count Ratzig.
  • Protagonist Title
  • War for Fun and Profit: Ratzig frames the Americans for bombing Centralvo in hopes that the two nations will go to war.
