Boba Fett: Blood Ties is a Star Wars Legends limited comic series.

Tropes in this series include:

  • Call-Back:
    • Star Wars: The Clone Wars established that Boba doesn't consider the regular clones his brothers. However, he does come to see Connor (who is instead the son of a clone) as a brother.
    • Also from The Clone Wars, Bossk's friendship with Boba is brought up.
  • Call-Forward: Sintas's rape by Lenovar followed by Boba being exiled from the Protectors for killing Lenovar in retaliation, mentioned in Legacy of the Force as why Sintas and Boba divorced, is brought up when Sintas explains to Connor why their marriage fell apart. The man also trying to kill Boba, Sintas, and Ailyn turns out to be Lenovar's father, seeking revenge for his son's death.
  • Central Theme: Children outliving their parents, parents outliving their children, and children being abandoned by their parents. Connor's father was killed when he was an infant (and he only sees Jango as his father's murderer rather than as a family member), Boba's father was killed, Lenovar's son was killed, and Ailyn was abandoned by her father (and her mother will go missing).
  • Love Triangle: Sintas is attracted to Connor and makes out with him a couple of times, with her goodbye kiss being secretly witnessed by her ex-husband Boba. Boba makes no comment about it to Connor and doesn't visit Sintas.
  • Meaningful Rename: Freeman is the surname that the clone deserter had given to himself and his family.
  • Pet the Dog: After killing Freeman, Jango lets Freeman's wife and son live because they knew nothing about Freeman being a part of a secret project, and it is later revealed that he went the extra mile by keeping a secret inheritance fund for the kid.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Connor Freeman. A late addition to Boba's story, you'd think in-universe that he would've been mentioned at some point, especially in the Legacy of the Force books.
