AstroWitch is a an adult-oriented Urban Fantasy comic created by Ruben Romero and Casey Bowker, and drawn by Alessandro Amoruso. It is published by Bad Bug Media and was funded via Kickstarter.

Thousands of years ago, the embodiments of the seven deadly sins rampaged all over the galaxy, feeding off the energy of planets as they drove the inhabitants of those planets into self-destruction. But one of their number, Lujuria, fell in love with a human and thus rebelled against her siblings and prevented them from destroying Earth. She also gave birth to a daughter, creating a bloodline that tethered her to Earth. Consequently, her angered siblings have spent centuries trying to hunt down and kill everyone in her bloodline, hoping to draw her out so that they can kill her once and for all.

In the present, Lujuria has one remaining descendant, an introverted video-game streamer named Luna Reyes. When Lujuria's siblings come for Luna, Lujuria bonds with her in order to protect her, creating the entity called AstroWitch.

This series contains examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: In the first issue, Lujuria blows off her sibling's arm.
  • City of Gold: In the second issue, Lujuria, Luna, and Blueberry travel to Nahual-Li, a lost city in Guatemala that Lujuria claims was the basis for the legends of the El Dorado.
  • Defector from Decadence: Lujuria has eschewed the pleasures enjoyed by her siblings in order to protect humanity from their cruelty.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Lujuria and her family are all celestial monsters. While some of them, like Lujuria herself, have adopted more humanoid shapes, some of her siblings, like Envy, look like they barely have a stable form.
  • Going Commando: Lujuria wears traditional Aztec ceremonial garb, which does not include underwear.
  • Henshin Hero: When Luna is in trouble, she transforms into Lujuria, giving her a number of powers, including flight, super-strength, and the ability to generate fire.
  • Hidden Elf Village: In the second issue, Lujurian takes Luna and Blueberry to Nahual-Li, a hidden city populated by her worshippers and hidden from the rest of the world by her powers. Unfortunately for her, while she's stuck fighting Envy outside the city, her other siblings attack the city itself, slaughtering its inhabitants.
  • Variant Cover: Like most Crowdfunded Comics, the series offer multiple covers for financial backers. Artists for these covers include Ignacio Noe, Dravacus, Summer Dell, and Zach Raw.
