Animal Urbano, you are, uhm, under arrest?
Animal Urbano was an Argentine comic book. It was first published by Furor Historietas in 1993, with 4 issues. Imaginador published 12 issues, and it was finally self published for 10 more issues.

Animal Urbano is Juancho, a teenager that was kidnapped by the National Reorganization Process, and dropped in a death flight into a polluted lake. But, instead of dying, he mutated into a savage monster, and resurfaced in the nineties, with only vague memories of his previous life. Now he lives at a slum, and fights against former military, corrupt cops, mafia leaders and anyone who tries to take advantage of the poor people.

Tropes

  • Berserk Button
    • Trying to kill or injure poor people in some way is the most sure way to have Animal Urbano to show up and kick your ass.
    • No matter how absurd is something said by Cardozo, do not ask if he is cracking a joke. He gets so mad, that he even got carried away and thought he could defeat Animal Urbano on a fight with just his fists.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Cardozo ordered his tanks to go to Plaza de Mayo, where he killed the president and appointed himself the new president. Simple as that, just because that day he woke up in the mood to stage a coup. As pointed by one of his generals, he did not ask for support or blessings from the other armed forces, or from the US.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Animal Urbano speaks with short phrases, with Bold Inflation and deliberate spelling mistakes, to convey his deep voice.
  • Monster Modesty: Averted, as well as Nonhumans Lack Attributes. Censor Shadow is used at times (it's a black & white comic book after all), but not always. Animal Urbano is naked, and his attributes are usually seen with no problem.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Most villains are related to either the former military dictatorship or with modern police brutality (and, in some cases, both).
  • That Man Is Dead: Animal Urbano meet his fomer girlfriend. She asked if he was Juancho. He said "JUANCHO ZE MURIO" ("Juancho is dead"), and left
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Juancho's mom is still alive, and sad about her long missing son. Animal Urbano did not dare to tell her his true identity, but she him for his intervention against Cardozo. Ignoring that he was her son, she praised him and his actions, but asked him to avoid killing if possible. Because even bad men have moms, and families.
