Comic Book / Adventures of the Mask

Go To

The Adventures of Stanley Ipkiss and his crazy good-hearted wacky alter-ego The Mask continues as they both face enemies such as corrupt officials, supervillains and jerks.

This Comic Books Provides Examples of:

  • Adaptational Heroism: The Mask as always is a good-hearted superhero instead of a ultraviolent Anti-Hero like in the film and the animated series.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: The Mask is this as always as he goes on being bizarre and weird even at one point stretching his legs up to walk across a bridge on a trip which he, Stanley and Milo are taking even though he turned the car into a helicopter so there was no need to do it.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: The Mask as always is a genuine troublemaker but does have a good heart as he only causes goofy and harmless chaos. He does drop the jerk part eventually and plays the Heart of Gold part straight.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: The Mask tells Dober-Man that he can't be a superhero like him because he has no training or experience which though hurtful but very true though he does end up feeling guilty about it and Peggy tells him off for being too blunt with him.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: Stanley and The Mask as always love Milo very much like their kid so after Stanley puts on the Mask of Loki on and The Mask comes out, The Mask turns himself into Dorothy from Wizard of Oz and starts crying because he misses Milo very much.
  • Hidden Depths: The Mask hears knocking on the door at the apartment so he turns himself into a fish so that no one sees him there and politely tells Peggy to open the door to let whoever’s knocking come inside and throughout it all he stays like that even though when Kellaway insults him, he spits water at him which shows just how much control the Mask really has while there is someone in the apartment with him.
  • Nice Guy: Stanley and The Mask as always are both kind, polite and good-hearted people.
