Main Characters
Zeke
Ezekiel "Zeke" Falcone
Portrayed by: Hutch Dano
- Book Dumb: Not exactly an honors student but when it comes to skateboarding, he knows everything. He actually appears to be smart and serious, especially compared to Luther, but his grades are very low.
- Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: His friend Luther is The Ditz who acts before thinking, and Zeke frequently tries to keep him out of trouble.
- Determinator: When it comes to his goals and his skateboarding career, nothing can stop him.
- Green-Eyed Monster: He is none too happy on those occasions when Luther proves successful without him or is poised to break one of his records.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: He and Luther are best friends who share the same interest in skateboarding.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite his arrogance and recklessness, he still cares about Luther and tries to right his wrongs whenever he can.
- Never My Fault: In Crash and Learn he says that he and Luther always get blamed for the neighborhood shenanigans “that they didn’t do”. But Luther reminds him that they did both of those things
- Pride: He's reminded more than once in "Robo-Luth" that he constantly feels the need to outdo everyone else. Much as he tries to deny it, he sheepishly admits in private that's true and that he also can't help but want an award to that effect.
Luther
Luther Jerome Waffles
Portrayed by: Adam Hicks
- Cloudcuckoolander: Has a goofy personality and many quirky habits, and often needs Zeke to act as his Cloudcuckoolander's Minder.
- The Ditz: Not that bright. Such as when he thinks a hospital bedpan is a guacamole bowl and asks if he can have one.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: He and Zeke are best friends who share the same interest in skateboarding.
- Jerkass to One: Towards Ozzie, whom he considers a poser that's always copying him. Even Kojo and Ginger don't get as much disdain from Luther as Ozzie does.
- Significant Birth Date: "Luther Turns 4" reveals he was born on February 29th, so every four years, he crams in as much birthday fun as possible on his special day. After a prank gone wrong forces him and Zeke to coach a kids' basketball team, he exploits a loophole that allows him to play on the team since he's technically only four. It works, and he ends up doing similarly for other teams (much to the irritation of the actual children).
- Unknown Rival: To Mia, Zeke's cousin. She knows him and considers him a friend, but he's been nursing a deep grudge for years over her beating him out in a mascot audition. She is genuinely surprised when told this, and everyone else keeps pointing out that Luther has long since shifted his ambitions to pro-skating.
Kojo
Kornelius "Kojo" Jonesworth
Portrayed by: Daniel Curtis Lee
- Butt-Monkey: Zeke makes him the butt of jokes at times. Sometimes he brings it upon himself.
- Casanova Wannabe: Downplayed. He is shown dating often enough and has a sizable little black book, but he's constantly exaggerating what a player he is and is far more likely to be shown being rejected in such instances. He had far more luck with Zeke's cousin, Mia, when being down to Earth rather than doing what he usually does.
- Character Catchphrase: "Watch out!" while slapping his buttocks.
- Disappeared Dad: Kojo constantly refers to his mother but his father is never seen or heard, he is usually mentioned that he is on vacation.
- Handsome Lech
- Hey, That's My Line!: When Mia copies Kojo's signature butt-slap and "Watch out!" He tells her not to do that and that it's his thing.
- Lady Killer In Love: With Zeke's cousin Mia in "Sludge".
- Momma's Boy: Often speaks of doing assorted activities with his beloved mother.
- Narcissist: Has his own freakin calendar of him self!
- Not Me This Time: Was blamed for wrecking Jumpsuits garden in the episode "Crash and Learn" because he secretly took a bite out of Zeke's jerky and it was actually Zeke & Luther that crashed into the garden. He tried to tell Jumpsuit and the Deputy that, but they did not believe him because he had no proof.
- Out of Focus: In season 3. He makes fewer appearances, as the show focuses more on Zeke and Luther's professional skating careers than one-off adventures in the neighborhood.
- The Rival: To Zeke and Luther
- Small Name, Big Ego: Big time.
- He thinks he's a better skateboarder then Zeke and Luther and usually loses when he skates against Zeke
- He calls himself a manly man but his mother revealed that he wears footie pajamas and takes bubbble baths.
- Token Minority: The only non-white member of the main cast.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: He's acknowledged his dislike of Zeke and Luther and vice versa (to the point of Zeke calling Kojo his enemy), yet they always hang out and do things together.
- We Want Our Jerk Back!: He gets struck by lightning and his personality completely changes. He becomes sickeningly nice and gives up boarding. Zeke is initially thrilled, but he realizes their rivalry makes races and competitions more challenging and fun.
Ginger
Ginger Falcone
Portrayed by: Ryan Newman
- Annoying Younger Sibling: Oh yes. In "Sludge" she even states how much she loves annoying Zeke when she follows him to ramps.
- Brainy Brunette: Very smart. Luther even thought that she was a cyborg as well.
- Character Catchphrase:
- Ginger repeatedly calls Zeke and Luther "pit-sniffers". In return, Zeke usually calls Ginger "mini-munch."
- Ginger also tends to say "Oh yeah, baby!" when things are going her way.
- Deadpan Snarker: She knows how to smooth talk her way into things and sharp mouthed when in intellectuall arguments with Zeke. Especially in the episode "Treasure"
- Demoted to Extra: In Season 3 due to her actress Ryan Newman leaving the show. She still appears in five episodes, however, but unfortunately not the Finale.
- Expy: Of Pim Diffy and Megan Parker.
- Jerkass: She enjoys giving her brother a hard time whenever she gets a chance.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In Old Nasty, Zeke tells Ginger that a boy (Deuce) she is interested in would not be interested in a —nickname— like her. She is so distraught that she doesn’t even bother with a comeback, something Zeke catches on to quickly because they always insult each other back and realizes ginger actually likes Deuce and feels bad
- Terrified of Germs: A downplayed example. Germs in general don't bother her, but she's very protective of her belongings, especially when Zeke's involved. The subplot in "Robo-Luth" involves Zeke messing with her by sneezing on something in her room but refusing to tell her what it was. It infuriates her to no end, and she eventually and aggressively scrubs all of her belongings.
- Ungrateful Bastard: At the end of the episode "Old Nasty". When she falls down the ride, Deuce catches her and saves her from being seriously injured. Deuce then tries the stunt himself and severly injures himself. After, Ginger breaks up with Deuce because she didn't want to take care of someone super injured even though Deuce saved her life.
Recurring Characters
Ozzie
Oswald "Ozzie" Kepphart
Portrayed by: Nate Hartley
- Badass Bookworm: He is normally a scrawny weakling, but in the episode "Goin Zoomin" when he saw the strong-man champion chatting up to the girl who dumped him for being a weakling, he is more than motivated to pull a heavy truck all the way to the finish line.
- "Luther Unleashed" shows that he is a great skateographer (Skateboarding Photographer).
- He did a good job of designing and setting up Zeke's new garage pad.
- The series finale shows that he is also a great actor, getting the part in the movie Zeke was originally going to replace Vin in.
- Butt-Monkey
- Character Catchphrase: While not exactly a catchphrase, his signature move is rudely sticking out his butt.
- Characterization Marches On: In his debut appearance, he wasn’t interested in skateboarding seeing as how he thinks it didn’t matter if he copied Luther’s helmet because he wasn’t a skater. Later in the 1st season and especially the 2nd, he hangs around the skaters and is a “self proclaimed skater” even though he’s being a poser
- Cloudcuckoolander: Even more than Luther. He's a weirdo who is usually showing off about random stuff and odd habits.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: See Badass Bookworm above
- I Just Want to Be Loved: He reveals in the episode "Luther Unleashed" that he photoshopped his head onto a photo of Luther's trick because he wanted his older brother to see that he is talented. So Zeke and Luther make an agreement for Luther to let Ozzie win the MMA Match between them.
- Race Fetish: When he’s fortunate enough to get a date it is usually with East-Asian girls.
- Rage Quit: After he falls down a pothole, he kicks away his board and screams "I'M NEVER SKATEBOARDING AGAIN!"
Don
Kirby
Kirby Cheddar
Portrayed by: David Gore
- Butt-Monkey: He is repeatedly insulted and dismissed, as well as often suffers assorted slapstick.
- Dogged Nice Guy
- Informed Flaw: In the Christmas Episode, he is dismissed by Zeke as the most spoiled kid in the neighborhood. While Kirby's parents certainly shower him with expensive gifts, every single appearance up to this point portrayed Kirby as a friendly figure constantly helping the others in their antics and never once flaunting his family's wealth.
The Plunks
Charlie and Doyce Plunk
Portrayed by: Reid Ewing and Chris Zylka
- The Bully
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Doyce is absent after season 2 but Charlie appears again but with a different brother
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis
Stinky Cast
Garrett "Stinky Cast" Delfino
Portrayed by: Andy Pessoa
- Abhorrent Admirer: To Ginger, due to his poor hygiene habits (tops of all his cast) and how blunt he is about his interest in her.
- Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite his age and quirky habits, he's actually a gifted cameraman and is often hired by Zeke and Luther to film their stunts.
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Does not appear after Season 2
- Dogged Nice Guy
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Everyone calls him "Stinky Cast" even though people know his real name which is "Garret Delfino".
Jumpsuit
Reginald "Jumpsuit" Johnson
Portrayed by: Lawrence Mandley
- Child Hater
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": EVERYONE calls him "Jumpsuit" except for his wife Mabel who calls him by his actual name: Reginald/Reggie.
- Grumpy Old Man:
- Hair-Trigger Temper
- Hoist by His Own Petard: In Law and Boarder, he creates a bunch of laws banning various activities in the neighborhood (skateboarding, food stands, sagging, you name it) and after he went way too far, the kids hatch a plan to get back at him by tricking him into breaking all of the laws he made and approved of.
- Limited Wardrobe
- Scary Black Man
