Akari Tsukumo (Kari Tsukumo)

Yuma's responsible older sister who works as a journalist.

Cool Big Sis: An odd example, seeing as she actually is the protagonist's big sister. Yuma is the first protagonist in the franchise to even have a sibling.
Cool Bike: An old, gas-engine motorcycle. Inherited from her father.
Cool Car: Drives one in episode 3. Much like the bike, it was inherited from her father.
Fantasy-Forbidding Father: "Older sister" in this case. In the manga, she forbids Yuma from dueling, not due to any preferred career goal on her part, but because she believes that preventing him from dueling would keep him out of harm's way. Not that it does anyone any good, however, because Yuma simply resorts to dueling behind her back. When she discovers Yuma dueling while things become desperate, she phones Yuma as he's preparing to enter the Astral World, informing him of her speculation about the possible connection of Astral World and their father's disappearance, before telling him to send a message to their Disappeared Dad and then to return home afterwards. The end of the manga shows Yuma becoming a professional duelist with her being among the spectators, implying that she's warmed up to Yuma dueling since then.
Intrepid Reporter: She'll take any risks she has to in order get the latest news; doesn't always work.
Tsundere: Towards Charlie.
Unresolved Sexual Tension: With Charlie. She lets him kiss her, but she always slaps him afterwards.

Mirai Tsukumo (Mira Tsukumo)

Yuma and Akari's mother.

Action Girl/Faux Action Girl: We know that she often accompanies Kazuma on his adventures, but that's the only thing we know.
Missing Mom: She is revealed to be in the Astral World and has been reunited with her husband.

Kazuma Tsukumo

The father of Yuma and Akari.

Anime Hair: Without his hat, you clearly see from whom Yuma got his crazy hair.
Cut the Safety Rope: Does this to save Mirai in a flashback in Episode 19, when he is dangling over the edge of a precipice with only her holding him up. He survives, winding up in the Astral World, where a figure resembling Astral gives him the Emperor's Key and shows him a vision of the Astral World being attacked.
Disappeared Dad: Disappeared at the same time as Byron, due to Faker's actions, but hasn't resurfaced like Byron did as Tron.
Horrible Judge of Character: Kazuma agreed to work with Faker because he wasn't looking to use the interdimensional portals for money, fame, or power.
Mysterious Parent: The root of many of the events in the series. Lampshaded in a conversation with Astral, when the latter ask "did your plan work out how you intended?". He claims he's not sure himself.
Spanner in the Works: As Eliphas reveals to Yuma, him coming to Astral World drastically ruined the plans of Astral World and Eliphas, with Kazuma altering Astral's programming and sending him to Yuma.
The Power of Friendship: He is the source of Yuma's kattobingu.

Obomi (Lillybot)

Almighty Janitor: Literally. Obots are designed to clean up trash, but Obomi is smarter and more skilled than most of them.
Babies Ever After: With Orbital 7. How this is possible we'll never know.
Because You Were Nice to Me: She was originally owned by a thief but Yuma's kindness made her do a Heel–Face Turn.
Deadpan Snarker: Even more so in the dub version.
Funny Robot: Unfortunately, most of her humor is at Yuma's expense.
Robot Buddy: Towards Yuma and his friends.
Tsundere: As much as a robot can be considered tsundere, but she constantly calls Yuma an idiot even while being kind and serving him food. She is also the Defrosting Ice Queen version towards Orbital 7.
Obomi: Yuma sucks and is a mega idiot. But he is kind.
What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Considering the things Yuma was willing to do for her...
