     Main Characters

Jinpei Jiba

Voiced by: Mutsumi Tamura

  • Alliterative Name: Jinpei Jiba.
  • Anime Hair: He has large tufts of hair shaped like cat ears, reminiscent of Jibanyan.
  • Animal Motif: "Can a cat be a hero?" Duh. Even without taking the Title Drop and the fact that he's clearly based off Jibanyan into account, his hair, his penchant for naps and the ears and tails in his hero suit will surely clue you in. If that wasn't enough, he literally was a cat in a past life
  • Bratty Half-Pint: While well-meaning and good-hearted, he is also cheeky, mischievous, brash and impulsive.
  • Fiery Redhead: Downplayed. He has red hair and, while his temper does not run near as hot as Mera's, he does have a bit of attitude.
  • Idiot Hair: He has a cowlick sticking up at the top of his head, which beffits his goofball nature.
  • Keet: Chipper, hyperactive, and loud.

Sandayuu Koma

Voiced by: Aya Endo

  • Blush Sticker: He has swirly ones, a nod to Komasan.
  • Non-Uniform Uniform: He wears a green, black and white backpack rather than either the school-issued tote/messenger bag or briefcase.
  • Shrinking Violet: Much like his original counterpart, he is a very shy boy.

Matarou Tamada

Voiced by: Marina Inoue

  • Ascended Fanboy: He has always been fan of superheroes and longed to be one. Then, he gained his own Yokai Hero forms: Shining Boy (after the his favorite character), and later T-Dain.
  • The Team Normal: He is the only one of the characters to be a normal boy, in comparison of his friends. By episode 27, this has come to an end.

Fubuki Himekawa

Voiced by: Haruka Tomatsu

Mera Raidou

Voiced by: Toshiki Masuda

  • Anime Hair: His hair is shaped like a flame, reminiscent of Blazion's flaming mane.
  • Fiery Redhead: He has red-orange hair with orange tips and is very passionate.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: He has an x-shaped scar below his left eye.
  • Noble Male, Roguish Male: He is the roguish, brash former School Mafia member to the calm, sophisticated, vain Noble Ryusuke.
  • Pointy Ears: Despite being normally human, somehow he has pointy ears.
  • The Rival: He has a heated rivalry with Ryusuke, to the point of the two fighting using cleaning supplies.
  • "X" Marks the Hero: He has a "x"-shaped scar below his left eye and he is one of the good guys.

Ryusuke Kyubi

Voiced by: Chiaki Kobayashi

  • Facial Markings: He has red lines around his eyes.
  • Forced Transformation: In the movie, Ryusuke was turned into a Hebimaju, when he accidentally confessed his love for Ms. Enra and then attacked Jinpei and his friends. He is restored to human form thanks to Little Kommander.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He is referred to as one of the prettiest boys in school in his bio. He has long white hair.
  • Narcissist: He has a big ego and tends to be smug when someone questions it or his love for Ms. Enra.
  • Noble Male, Roguish Male: He is the calm, sophisticated, vain Noble to the roguish, brash former School Mafia member Mera.
  • Precocious Crush: He is head over heels for the school nurse, Natsuki Enra, although he can be lewd about it.
  • Pride: Much like his original yokai, he has a higher opinion of himself, especially when it comes to his status as a Pretty Boy and Chick Magnet or his crush on Miss Enra.
  • Proud Beauty: Much like Kyubi, Ryusuke is attractive and he knows it, and he would often brag about it.
  • The Rival: He has a heated rivalry with Mera, to the point of the two fighting using cleaning supplies.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Despite being generally a good person, he can be aloof and detached.

Ranto Kirigakure

Voiced by: Jun Fukuyama

Chiaki Hebiyama

Voiced by: Rinu (from Strawberry Prince)

  • In the Hood: He is often seen with a hood on, reflecting his shady nature.

Nozuchika Mitsumatagi

Voiced by: Masaya Onosaka

  • Non-Uniform Uniform: Despite specializing in sports, his gakuran is white and black instead of dark blue and orange.

Kumako Kumoike/Kuka Nanakumo

Voiced by: Shizuka Ishigami

General Tropes:

  • Bespectacled Cutie: She wears a pair of glasses and she is adorable, even after becoming Kuuka Nanakumo.
  • Gender Flip: Much like Emma, she is definitely Poofessor turned female.

Kuuka Nanakumo

  • Hotter and Sexier: She is definitely a slimmer and prettier version of Kumako Kumoike.
