Characters Introduced in Yatagarasu

Chadha

Crow

Hattori Hanzo Uruka

  • Action Mom: To Kou, who she raised.
  • Berserk Button: The one time she just freaks out on someone is when they indirectly call her old.

Hina

Jet

Jyuzumaru Tsunetsugu

Hinukan Kou

Shimo

Kijimuna

A suppressed evil entity within the mind and body of Kou.
  • Final Boss: of the first game.
  • Put on a Bus: The only fighter from the first game not present in the sequel Attack on Catalysm.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: He is a red and black palette swap of Kou and has a dark red aura always surrounding him as can be seen in this video.
  • SNK Boss: Full stop (and somewhat unsurprising as the developers of this game had formerly worked at SNK). Among the advantages he has over the playable fighters on the roster include:
    • His Dragon Punch is unblockable.
    • His super projectile and Shin Shoryuken are regular special moves, meaning that they don't require the super gauge. These two moves are supers for regular Kou.
    • He has a unique super move where he temporarily slows down time almost to a standstill, making the opponent not being able to move. It is similar to Dio Brando's one from Capcom's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure fighting games.
    • His jumps are slightly higher and slower.
    • He has some different damage infliction values for some moves.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Is this for Kou

Characters Introduced in Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm

Azure

Kazama Kotaro

  • Kimono Is Traditional: A subversion in that her's is modified to only go down to her waist at which point she is wearing a skirt.

Aja Salisbury

  • Aristocrats Are Evil: She is a malevolent person, or at least Masanari is, and certainly dresses somewhat like an aristocrat, though biographical info doesn't clarify if she actually is of noble background.
  • Badass Longcoat: Wears such attire in battle.
  • Big Bad: of Attack on Catalysm Granted not of her own volition.
  • Evil Brit: She is a British politician with a malevolent agenda. Thought the former is subverted due to her being possessed by Masanari.
  • Final Boss: Of Attack on Catalysm
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Subverted as she is a villainess carrying out a destructive agenda Double-subverted as Aja is indeed a good person, but she is possessed by Masanari.
  • No Party Given: Averted as she is identified in her backstory as being a member of the Conservative Party.
  • Tragic Villain: Witnessing the devastation of World War I took a toll on her and dampened her view of humanity. At which point the spirit of Masanari was able to take advantage of her vulnerability to possess Aja in order to fulfill her own nihilistic agenda.
  • Walking Spoiler: Her fully revealed biography will give away a major plot twist not just only regarding herself but another character ( Chadha, who is the reanimated body of Aja's Husband).
