    In General

A white supremacist group active in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They wear Rorschach cowls, quote excerpts of Rorschach's journal and commit murders and acts of terrorism in order to drive the black population out. They specially targeted the police of Tulsa and their relatives, prompting Tulsa cops to wear masks.

  • Asshole Victim: The senior leadership of Cyclops gets vaporised by Lady Trieu.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: As dangerous as they are, the Seventh Kavalry are ultimately pawns to Lady Trieu and are quickly disposed of once their part in her scheme is fulfilled.
  • Category Traitor: Despite being white supremacists, they have no issue also targeting white people they regard as their enemies or who work with the police, viewing them as race traitors.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: It's implied that the Seventh Kavalry believe that the "trans-dimensional attacks" are false flag operations carried out by the U.S. government. They are half-right, of course. Considering the comic ended with a right-wing tabloid being entrusted with the truth of Veidt’s scheme, naturally it's people like this who'd be keeping the theory alive.
  • Cop Killer: They attacked forty homes of the Tulsa police before in the "White Night", only Judd and Angela survived. Not to mention, a member attempts to kill another cop at the beginning of the pilot, setting off the aggressions between 7K and Tulsa's masked police.
  • Crazy-Prepared: It turns out that the church in which they filmed their speech was a fake indoor set as to make the Tulsa police waste their time on finding a real church that didn't exist.
  • The Dreaded: The whole city lives in fear of them, especially the police with the Kavalry being the main reason they wear masks and use code names given their habit of attacking families. The whole force is visibly shaken upon getting the video message from them, announcing their return.
  • Godhood Seeker: Their ultimate plan is to capture and destroy Doctor Manhattan, then use an intrinsic field generator to become beings like him.
  • The Heavy: Collectively, they are the main antagonistic force faced by the Tulsa police and the heroes.
  • The Klan: The K in their name pretty clearly marks them as a chapter or split off from the Ku Klux Klan, though they don't wear the costume. The deputy director of the FBI even states that they are basically the Klan with a different mask.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Quite literally! Their leadership gets vaporized with lasers after Trieu teleports them away and Keene Jr. himself gets liquefied in his attempt to steal Dr. Manhattan's powers.
  • Loony Fan: Of Rorschach, having used his journal as a foundation for their ideology, wearing his famous mask as their costume and quoting lines directly from his journal in their speeches.
  • Malevolent Masked Men: The Seventh Kavalry are a group of white supremacists who are invokedinspired by Rorschach, wearing a mask like his and ominously chanting "Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock..."
  • Misaimed Fandom: In-Universe, they're fans of Rorschach's journal for precisely the wrong reasons. While Rorschach himself was known for holding some backwards social positions, he never explicitly targeted women, the LGBT community, or people of color if they had done no wrong. In addition, he meant for his journal to inspire others to seek the truth of what happened in New York City in 1985. Instead, they use the journal to justify attacking marginalized people and cops, and don't make any significant moves toward actually exposing Adrian Veidt for his crimes in spite of claiming that it's their true goal.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: They seek to expose the truth about the trans-dimensional attacks. But this is their only sympathetic motivation, and it's clear they use it as an excuse for their own prejudice.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: They're out and proud white supremacists.
  • Right-Wing Militia Fanatic:
    • The Seventh Kavalry are a white supremacist terrorist group who kick off the plot by staging armed attacks on cops and their families in what is dubbed the "White Night".
    • Noticeably more fanatic then most examples, using cyanide pills to avoid capture and utilizing suicide bombers.
  • Take That!: They serve as a clear take down of many real-life fans who read the original comic and got the impression that Rorschach was a badass or someone to admire or emulate rather than a borderline insane vigilante with a morality no reasonable person would ever follow. The Kavalry not only think of Rorschach as a brave hero and martyr but carried his own already harmful views on women, LGBT people and liberals into murderous territory and used his journal as an excuse to indulge their loathsome views.
  • Unwitting Pawn: They played into Lady Trieu's hands before she killed them all.
  • We Are Everywhere: They invoke this as part of their first speech, claiming "we are no one, we are everyone, we are invisible".
  • Western Terrorists: The White Supremacist type.
  • Would Hurt a Child: They have no issue threatening or harming the families of police in order to intimidate them and that includes their kids.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: After she teleports them to her base and revealed the goo that was Keene Jr., Lady Trieu massacres the lot of them.

     Leader (SPOILERS)

    Carmichael

Played By: Michael Graziadei

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/episode_image_400x225.jpg

A member of the Seventh Kavalry who kickstarts the plot by shooting a police officer during a routine road stop.

  • Beard of Evil: Sports a beard and is a member of the Seventh Kavalry.
  • Better to Die than Be Killed: He swallows a cyanide capsule so that the police can’t get any information out of him.
  • Hypocrite: Nothing's quite oxymoronic like a violent white supremacist that listens to hip-hop music made by a black artist.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: It comes with the territory when you're a white supremacist.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Him shooting a police officer in the first episode is what kicks off the series.

    The Suspect

Played by: Wayne Pere

A member of the Seventh Kavalry who is arrested and interrogated by the police.

  • Beard of Evil: He sports a beard and is a member of the Seventh Kavalry.
  • Butt-Monkey: He gets arrested by Sister Night, interrogated by Looking Glass in the Pod, and then gets the shit kicked out of him by Night to make him talk.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Well, he is a white supremacist.

    Renee

Played by: Paula Malcomson

A member of the Seventh Kavalry sent to lure Looking Glass.

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Initially appears to be just some attractive woman who walked into one of Wade's support group meetings and had a romantic interest in him, only for it to turn out that she is a Kavalry member who was sent to lure him to their hideout.
  • Honey Trap: Basically her role in the Kavalry's plan to compromise and capture Looking Glass.
  • Loony Fan: She's obsessed with the Steven Spielberg movie Pale Horse, dramatizing the squid attacks. Said obsession led to her joining the Seventh Kavalry.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: It's never confirmed if she's one of the 7K members shot by Angela or vaporized by Trieu in the final episode.

    Fred

Fred T.

Played by: Glenn Fleshler

A white supremacist in the late 1940s and member of the KKK.

  • Fat Bastard: An unapologetic racist and quite hefty.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Fred can be chummy when he wants to be, making friendly conversation with Will and offering to get him some free steaks for his service as a police officer in his last moments but it does little to mask what a monster he is and even when he's trying to seem nice, he's still obnoxious and racist.
  • Fictionalized Death Account: The real Fred Trump passed away in 1999. Fred on this show is killed by Will Reeves sometime around 1940.
  • Hate Sink: A virulent racist and anti-Semite who wants to wipe out both groups and even make them destroy each other, Fred is a truly loathsome excuse for a human being with absolutely nothing sympathetic or redeemable.
  • Historical Domain Character: Without quite naming him, he's a pretty clear depiction of Donald Trump's father, Fred Trump. They own supermarkets on the same corner, their business names are similar (F.T. & Sons compared to E. Trump & Son) and of course, both Freds were white supremacists with ties to the KKK. note
  • Jerkass: In addition to being a despicable racist and anti-semite with genocidal intentions, Fred is just an unpleasant, arrogant jerk who treats others poorly because he knows his wealth means he can get away with it.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Casually hurls racial epithets at a Black police officer (to his face) and attempts to burn down a Jewish store and jokes about it.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: At least in the overall scheme of things in the Watchmen universe. His name will probably never be found in the history books or any other written tome referring to the history of events depicted in this tv show, but it is his interaction with Will Reeves Hooded Justice that spurs the creation of the very first masked adventurer, causing all the subsequent earth-shaking events to happen.
  • Trumplica: Fittingly, as he is based on the real Trump's father, Fred is a rich, racist blowhard.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: His actions against Will Reeves caused the creation of the first masked adventurer and he would help lead to the downfall of Fred’s organisation Cyclops.
